Our companies

Monex Grupo Financiero

Our main subsidiary, Monex Grupo Financiero, is composed of three financial entities: Banco Monex, Monex Casa de Bolsa, and Monex Operadora de Fondos. Our focus is to be the leading provider of a wide range of financial products and services for both businesses and individuals, aiming to establish long-lasting relationships with our clients.

The personalized attention we offer, combined with the extensive experience of our sales force, enables clients to access a variety of specialized products and services tailored to their financial needs.

International subsidiaries:
Monex USA, Monex Europe, MonFX; Monex Asset Management and Monex Securities.

In 2001, we acquired CBI Casa de Bolsa, S.A. de C.V., CBI Grupo Financiero, and its subsidiary CBI International Securities, Inc. (now Monex Casa de Bolsa and Monex Securities, respectively), a registered broker-dealer in the United States.

In April 2010, we began the international expansion of our foreign exchange and international payments business with the acquisition of Tempus, a leading provider of foreign exchange and international payment services for businesses in the United States. As of January 2022, Tempus was rebranded as Monex USA. Monex USA has three offices in the United States: Washington, D.C. (headquarters), New York, and Los Angeles.

With the goal of becoming one of the largest specialists in foreign exchange and international payments worldwide, in 2012 we acquired Schneider Foreign Exchange Limited, a provider of foreign exchange and international payment services for large corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and financial institutions in the United Kingdom, headquartered in London. This entity was renamed “Monex Europe Limited” and is currently an indirect subsidiary of Monex, S.A.P.I. de C.V., with the capacity to offer its services in the United Kingdom, Canada, as well as throughout the European Union and the Asia-Pacific region through various companies established in Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Singapore.

Monex Europe therefore comprises several companies duly authorized, supervised, and regulated by the respective authorities in their jurisdictions, with offices in London, Madrid (with branches in Amsterdam), Toronto, and Singapore.

The acquisitions of Monex USA and Monex Europe have provided us with a strong foothold in the foreign exchange markets of the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Through these companies, we gain market insights that offer detailed analysis, helping us understand the dynamics of currency markets. As a result of these acquisitions, we have become a significant global player as specialists in foreign exchange and payments, offering personalized and flexible services.

Arrendadora Monex

In June 2018, we completed the acquisition of Arrendadora Avance, S.A. de C.V., a leasing company specializing in serving SMEs with leasing needs. This acquisition strengthened the financing options we offer to our clients. Arrendadora Monex provides leasing services for all kinds of movable assets, equipment, motor vehicles, machinery, specialized equipment, accessories, and other assets.
